“Previous Experiences and Development Prospects” This is the slogan that was chosen to be the first launch of the scientific conference for orphans care
in its first edition, which was announced by the Orphan Care Federation through its official website and social platforms, and to be held on the fourth and fifth of November 2020.
The conference organizers stated that it is a real opportunity to bring together all those interested, researchers, specialists and workers in the care of orphans,
as it is considered as an international conference specialized in the care of orphans and the empowerment of their families.
The conference will be attended by high-level representatives of many international and local organizations, along with eminent names in the field of humanitarian work.
The conference provides participants with access to training manuals and scientific studies in the field of orphan care, in addition to informing researchers about the reality experienced by the orphan and his family
in light of the rapid changes they face.
The conference, which consists of 15 sessions over two days, deals with various topics and themes, including sessions to present scientific papers distributed between education, institutional care,
development and governance of institutions working with orphans, empowering orphans and their families, orphans in conflict areas, violence and protection.
Including discussion sessions: orphan care priorities, reconsidering the concept of sponsorship, orphans with special needs, crises and orphan care.
Due to the outbreak of the Corona pandemic, the conference will take place online, through the hopin platform, and will be broadcast on the union’s communication platforms.
It is worth noting that the Orphan Care Union held its first meeting in May 2016 under the slogan “We are for them.” It aspires to be a periodic conference held every two years.
