Official visit to the Department of Family Services Abroad of the Turkish Ministry of Family

Orphans Care Federation on an official visit to the Family Services Abroad Department of the Turkish Ministry of Family.

Professor Hulusi GÖLPINAR, Head of the Family Services Abroad Department at the Ministry of Family, received Ms. Jumana Habra, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of the Orphans Care Federation, and Mr. Muhammad Al-Aktaa, Director of the "Civil Society Organizations" Forum during their visit to him in the Turkish capital Ankara on September 17, 2024.

During the visit, a comprehensive introduction was provided about the OCF and its projects, and the possibility of signing a joint cooperation protocol was discussed. The legal status of refugee orphans who do not have official Turkish papers was also discussed.

The most prominent outcomes of the visit:

* Preparing a file on the quality project and presenting it to Ms. Ayşegül YILDIRIM KARA, Director of the Children's Services Department at the Ministry, with the aim of cooperating in an introductory workshop for Turkish institutions sponsoring orphans.

* Approving a cooperation protocol between the union and the Directorate of Family Services Abroad, responsible for activities in northern Syria.

At the end of the visit, Mrs. Jumana presented a symbolic gift of handicrafts to women who benefit from the economic empowerment projects supported by the OCF.
